Montezuma's ChocolatesMontezuma's Chocolates is fairly a new chocolate company based in Sussex,
manufacturing in a small unit near Chichester and retailing out of stores in
Duke St Brighton, East Street, Chichester and Touchwood Solihull.
Ex-lawyers Helen & Simon Pattinson, jointly founded Montezuma's
Chocolates 18 months ago. Helen sums up the Montezuma ethic in the following
way:
“We have set out to offer fantastic chocolate in a relaxed and modern shop
with knowledgeable staff . . . in doing this, we manufacture using GM and
preservative free ingredients, and in many cases, organic and vegan ingredients.
We are certain this produces chocolate without equal which has the added benefit
of being kind to the environment and to the consumer.
“As well as organic, we are attempting to support other environmental issues
by operating a re-use, re-cycle and conserve policy. Where possible our
packaging is made from re-cycled material, and where not, we like to offer
packaging that can be re-used in the kitchen or around the house and not
re-cycled at all.
“We also support local charities in our small way. We pass our end of line
stock and other tasty creations from our factory to the Oasis Women’s Centre and
The Big Issue which we hope will help to provide some comfort to Brighton’s more
needy population.” |
